I built this site as a personal project.
I wanted to make a website for my own and I thought this subject was great to try out a few things.

I wanted to check out the design based
on the use of frames. This design is based
on the fact that one can reach it with
any resolution from 800x600 pixels or higher
and where the information is still centered on the page.

When I started to use Internet, I basically found websites with a titlebalk on top and the navigationlinks on the left. I just wanted to do something different and try out a few things. So it may not be the most functional and easiest website. I took this in consideration. My target is also the more frequent user of the internet who knows a little bit of what's going on.
An example of a lack of functionality may be the 'story' chapter. You cannot really choose one of the subchapters of this chapter. There's a chronological way you must read the story. But if you do not want to read it all, you can jump somewhere into it by clicking on one of the hidden links on the map. By all this I try to force the visitor to read the whole story (or main parts of it), because I did not write it for nothing eh?!

I tried to write down my personal experience combined with the things I think you must see when you are in Australia or at a certain place in Australia. I don't want to get to personal, but sometimes you'll probably find my story a lot of bullshit anyway. But when I'm about 64 and I visit this site I'll still have some valueable memories... I hope...

On the map you'll find links of my personal highlights. From every link you can follow the story chronological. Or just leap back chronological...

The text and (almost all) pictures are all from my personal collection and so are copyrighted. All rights are reserved by deblanche. A lot of thanks to Johan and Joost...

This website was my first real development of a website. Recently I have been building a new one. You can visit it at:

Thanks for visiting this site. I hope you found it worth a visit. Just explore a bit more and you're always welcome to come back of course.
For questions, advise, or whatever... go to the 'feedback'-chapter.

tada,
