Yep. As you can see on the picture above, my relation with kangaroos is very sound (the roo above was named Skippy). I don't know, but koala's seem a bit more distant...

what is your best memory about Australia?...

I have lots of good memories of Australia, but the best one must be our stay in Cairns (after that comes our stay Melbourne). Cairns is the best mainly because we went diving their (f*cking great) and we got pissed every night in the Woolshed. Aaaaahh,...those were the days...
Melbourne becomes second, because we stayed with a very nice family who were mad enough to take in three Dutch blokes. They also showed us Melbourne and footy in the MCG...

was Australia like you pictured it?...

I didn't exactly know what to expect. The things I had read and heard beforehand, like skippies bouncing everywhere and barbies on every streetcorner, didn't really materialise.
Instead I wasaimazed by the great number of people you meet, especially in hostels... and the speed in which my lifesavings were sucked out of my account.
Maybe the remoteness and desertedness of the Outback were not so vast as I thought...
