'BYRON BAY'

This was our first big stop since leaving Brisbane to set off our ' big journey'. It was top!

We copied some new tapes from Walter: 'Beautiful Freak' from Eels. An amazing album, genius musicians, though it is a bit sad and a Verve tape with 'History' on it. Could stop listening to that song. A beautiful epic, poem/lovesong with good memories...

Byron Bay: Love the lifestyle! A free lifestyle like the movie 'Point Break'. We stayed at the Arts Factory Lodge. A multifunctional hostel. It is said that Eric Clapton, Jimmy Hendrix and other spent time there as well... We stayed with our tents, but as there has been a flood and as it was still bad wheather we had musquitos all the time.

We spent 3 days in Byron Bay. Too short actually as it is so brilliant! Just take your time in relaxing up here. There are still some real hippies left here. It's like 'flower power, love & peace, all you need is love'...

We also went to see the lighthouse at the 'most easternly point of main land australia'. You had a good view from there.

I really wanted to go here once I finished our trip around and take some time for it.

We were off to Nimbin now. It is Said to have the best and most unique museum of the world... Wonder what that's like...
