'COFFS HARBOUR'

After some more driving we got to Coffs Harbour, our destination. The first day we spent drinking the whole day at Hoey-Moey Backpackers Beach Hotel. The second day we found ourselves another decent hostel with no bar and but work. We stayed at the Aussital Backpackers.

For work we were picking blueberries. It was not big money at all. You have to be worldchampion to earn good money I suppose, but at least it was something.
But it rained a couple of days so we couldn't work as much as we wanted..

One of the best things that happened was that I met this beautiful Dutch girl over there, Meike. It was a shame it was on our last day over there. Seen her back one day here in Holland. Meike just contact me...

Also bought a guitar. I Was getting mad because I didn't have one. I always had other people around me with a guitar but not at that time anymore. It was an acoustic black Magnum, built in Indonesia. Very nice for a good price. Took it with me during all my travels, but sadly it got stolen last summer in France...

Our hostel was again nice. A nice swimming pool and I have seen some good movies over there. Spent time reading as well as I bought 'the Wallace' from Nigel Tranter. It's about William Wallace from Braveheart. Good book, a Scottish bloke Ewen told me about it at Jugiong.

We also started the real cooking now. That was funny...

There was a nice Muttonbird Island to see at the coast. The road on that peninsula leads to nowhere it seems, it suddenly seems to end....

Adventually we decided to move on, not much money was to be made here. We split with Coen and Peter. They went North. Johan and me wanted to go South because the working seasons and the money seemed to be better over there.

So it was farewell to the lads. Spent a good month with them, had a great time and laugh. Started to know Coen a bit better as well as he did me. It was very nice and fruitable.

But before we left we went RAFTING near Grafton. Rock'n'Roll!
