<<<<<previous 'LICHFIELD NATIONAL PARK' The main aim for going up North after Threeways was to pay a visit to Lichfield National Park. Casper, Taf and Jay told us that we must see that. We skipped Kakadu (where they filmed Crocodile Dundee) for it. We ran out of time and money with the eastcoast still ahead of us and we simply were not allowed to go into Kakadu as we had no driver's license to hire a 4WD. After leaving Mataranka it was still quite a drive. We camped just about 30 km from Lichfield. There was so fucking over there that we wanted to leave the North as soon as possible. Man, all those musquitos and insects, we had in all in our food and we could not go into our tent without taking tens of them with us...
First we got to the 'Protestors Fall'. Later that day we got back there and spent almost half a day at the fall. It was just brillant over there. It was nice swimming and standing behind the fall is even more beautiful. Amazing...
After our first stop at the 'Protestors Fall' we went to see 'Buley Rockhole' were we had another swim.
After that we went to the 'Tolmer Falls'.
Leaving the Tolmer Falls we went to see the 'Wangi Falls'. Said to be the main attractions. Well it was very beautiful as well, but we were not allowed to swim as some crocodiles were spotted a few days before we arrived.
