'-MATARANKA HOT SPRINGS-'

The first interesting place after the junction at Threeways must be Mataranka. We didn't know what it was, but there was a sign 'Mataranka Thermal Pool'. It was hot and we had a long drive so we pulled over and I'm glad we did. It's a hotwater pool, built for the officers in WOII. It was full of fish and spiders above your head, just as you were swimming in a rainforest. It was brilliant... I loved it! With a beer in hand it was a good change...
