'NEWCASTLE'

Before we got to Newcastle we stayed at a few places along the road. It was like having a beer at night in the local pub and headed off again.
One morning I bought 'The Masterplan' from Oasis and 'Recurring Dream' from Crowded House. A top band! One of the best albums I still have. Thought I let you know as Crowded House are top and they are from New Zealand and Australia...

We went carting too. That was top! Was just off the road. We had a little game. It was 2 x 10 minutes, but it was great. I had never done it. Well this was the result...

I really wanted to go to Newcastle as I'm a Newcastle United fan, though the English Newcastle...
It all looks like England, same names and colours and wheather... It was not the best wheather during our stay, so maybe that is why we were not that impressed by the city.

We went to see the Fort Scratchley Military & Maritime Museum at the seeside and just wandered around for a bit...

Maybe a highlight was the room of the Backpackers Newcastle hostel. It was like the cover of 'Definitly Maybe' and we had our own refrigerator...

I got quite sunburned from staying in the sun at Katoomba. Sunblock really helps, but you have to stick it on your whole body then... Finally shaved my 'beard' as well after three weeks. Sorry, but I felt quite proud at the time...

After 2 days we were off again.
