'STUART HIGHWAY'

Entering the Stuart Higway was great. This is real Australia, as many people see it. Just a road with one side on each half.

Expected that there was only desert, but it was quite green, a lot of bushes, but it was great, so empty. Sometimes you didn't see a car for an hour or so. After a few hundred kilometers there was another town with another 30 people living in it. A totally opposite life compared to Sydney or Paris or something. Wondering what these people think and how they live.

Along the road you could see a lot of dead kangaroos and other animals. A roadtrain just doesn't and can't stop if one is in his way.

It is great to see them. It seems like a whole operation which is transporting itself over the road.

At night when it is dark you can see a car coming because of it's headlight but sometimes it takes about 10 to 15 minutes before it has even passed you...

Before I went there I saw myself in the car with a few beers and some good music. Well, there was not too much beer, but I had like 15 tapes with me. Think all the lads can sing along to every song now as we played them over and over again.

A real experience, don't fly if you got the change to drive it. Amazing that this is the main road from South to North through the middle.
