'THE GREAT BARRIER REEF MARINE PARK'

The Great Barrier Reef. A worldheritage park, thankfully. It is one of the most beautiful divingplaces on earth with an amazing diversity of life. You find all sorts of tropical fish and coral.

After practising and studying (?) and getting passing for our exams, we finally went to the Reef itself! We took a boat from Cairns. It took us about 1,5 hours. It was quite rough on the water that day, but fortunately I never get sick. We ended up at some coralisland and there it all happened...

My first real dive and at one of the best places on earth. I got down there with my buddy Erik. The first time we got to a depth of 10.0 meters. It was top! It's beautiful. I was so excited that I can't remember what I heve seen anymore...

After the first dive we had a second one. That one was even better. We got to a depth of 14.1 meters and went through some kind of a natural tunnel. And there there was this huge fish swimming next to me. Wow...

There at the bottom of the ocean we actually got a diving certificate. Very funny.

After our dives and some food and drinks we got back to carins with our boat where we set off to Cape Tribulation.

It was an amazing experience. The world under water is even more beautiful than the one above. It is one thing you must have done. But please do not ruin it as it got more and more polluted and wasted. Hmm, sound like some prophet... But anyway, do not spoil such beauty.
