'TOWNSVILLE'

After leaving Mount Isa and after another full day of driving (about 2000 km in two days) we finally reached the east coast at Townsville. First thing we did was going to McDonalds... Shame on us...

So we left the Outback behind us. We seen it all. It took us 2 weeks. I think we couldn't have done it better. Not to slow, but no rush either.
Missing out on Darwin and Kakadu National Park is not really a worry. It makes it interesting to go back once and see that, now it's a bigger incentive to return. But I hope it won't be so hot and humid then...

Townsville was alright for a nice little stopover. It's back to the modern life if you've been to the Outback.
We went to see the aquarium. That was pretty nice, but we preferred to see it all in wildlife, so we were off to Cairns...
