<<<<<previous 'THE LONG DRIVE SOUTHWARDS' After Leaving Biggs behind again in Armidale we headed southward. We spent a lot of time in the car now. Rob was still driving all the way. I was sitting next to him and the other lads sat at the back. They were basically reading all the time and I tried to keep Rob awake. And ofcourse there were still the same old tapes we listened to. Remember them lads?...
As we got off the New England Highway we got onto the Pacific Highway again. We drove a little part we didn't drove on before (was that still possible?...).
We decided to drive over the Princess Highway along the coast instead of the Hume Highway inlands that we already had done. That meant that we missed out on the Snowy Mountains, but you cannot have it all... South of Sydney the scenery changes. It all looks a bit more like Great Britain now. It is is different than north of Sydney but it is still beautiful. There are some nice places you pass. ? and Kiama are definitely worthwhile visiting (well, sorry can't remember it anymore...).
We entered Kiama as there was a storm arriving. It was a beautiful sky, you could imagine you were in Scotland instead of Australia. There is a beautiful blowhole as well. But we couldn't find a place to stay and instead we drove on all through the night. I love driving at nighttimes with some music, it has a different atmosphere.
After a long drive we parked the car at the knick at Malacoota and had 1or 2 hours sleep in the car. next>>>>>
