:: Cuzco

Back there we got back to our Incawasi Hostel and after a nice shower we ended up in Mama Africa ofcourse and saw some more familiar faces. Harry and Neill were also there and Neill had already told me about this Peruvian football club. It's name is 'The Wankers'. Anyway, that's how you pronounce it. He wanted to go to the match in Lima the next morning. I told him to join him around 11.30 am. I warned him I might not be there though if I couldn't wake up. And ofcourse that happened, because I only got to bed after the sun was already shining lovely

I met him that night and he was quite pissed of, not by me though : He was still fucked when he woke up, he was late himself and took a taxi to the stadium. When he arrived there, he found out they were not playing at home but away. He asked the driver why he did not tell him, and the driver replied him by saying he did not ask for it. Hilarious, but more hilarious was the way he said : 'and you know who they were playing ?... the f**king wankers !!'. Class man this Neill. And it was not the last time we would see the pair of them...

Being back in Cuzco, we got back a bit into our old rhythm. But it was not bad though. In Holland we celebrate the day of St.Nic on the 6th of December. We decided to celebrate this together buy buying a little present for each other and write some poems. The latter we also done with family and friends back home, which was actually really nice. So one thing was walking through the markets of Cuzco.

Another beautifull thing to visit in Cuzco is its Cathedral. I have seen quite a few churches in my life, some not too bad at all like St.Peter in Rome or the Notre Dame in Paris. But I have to say that this Cathedral is among hte most beautifull ones I have seen. I love the wooden cabinets inside and just the shapes and everything ...

We also hooked up again with our Australian friends Antony and Leighton. They decided to join us by going to Lake Titicaca. But when we arrived at the bus, there was no Leighton. At the last minute he decided to stay after having asked out this bird. And that after I spoke him out of this horseriding trip with another bird. I told him that you don't ride f**king horses and especially not to try and impress a bird. He totally agreed. But man, typical Leighton, he was so desperate to get laid. He was not even unattractive, think he just tried to hard...

I think this sums up a bit our time in Cuzco altogether : Having a major chill out during the day and get into the party scene at night ....
