Sucre used to be the capital of Bolivia.
With La Paz made the 'practical capital' of Bolivia in 1898, Sucre was left to be the nominal capital.
What this exactly means I don't know, what I do know is that nearly everybody knows La Paz and there are fewer people who know Sucre.
Sucre is nice town though.
We wandered around again and just as we wanted to ask some travelers if we could read their lonly planet,
we found Harrie and Marc instead, our English friends from the Incatrail and Cusco.
It was great to see them again and I bet we must have had another beer.
Maybe even in this Dutch bar Joyride at the Plaza.
We heard it was a good bar, but only after we found Dutch magazines and seen that they had 'Bitterballen' on the menu,
we knew ... We had our meals over there during our 2 day stay in Sucre.
It was founded by a Dutch guy, who had worked in Bolivia for an international Aid organisation for a few years.
After that he started this bar with two mates.
Very cool and a good idea, I could see myself ending up doing the same ...
We also went to a club, Mitros, and it was a good laugh.
It had been a while since we'd been in a club.
Johan pretended to be blind once he was inside and it was hilarious !
Apart from that we went to some place where you could see the city.
Very cool, but like Cochabamba, it was more like a litlle citytour, feel the vide and see how these places look like ...
Being a musician, their have of course been some songs I've written on this tour.
Like our travels through Australia at the time, there were songs 'of the day' I was playing a lot.
This tour I remember playing three songs all the time in particular :
Sunday Morning Call by Oasis, Slideshow by Travis and Life Is For Living by Coldplay ...
I think that sums up the mood a bit, although they might a bit slow, they were very relaxing and touchy songs.
Like the tour ...
Next stop was Potosi, the city where you can buy dynamite for less than a euro !
