The story of the pink playboy cadillac.
You might wonder how we got into a pink playboy cadillac which was our taxi for a 1,5/ 2 hours drive from Ica to Nazca...
Well I wonder as well thinking back ...
But it was quite easy;
As we were waiting for the bus to take us to Nazca, this cadillac offered us the ride.
Well, quite simpel, more comfortable, less risk of loosing our back (as they were gonna get tight up at the roof of the bus) and even cheaper !
We paid 7 sol which is the equivelant of not even 2,5 euros. The bus was 1 sol more ... Well, eh, it's money ...
The trip was fine and nice. There was this Peruvian girl which was learning English, well us and me Spanish, so I image you understand what I mean ...
As we got to Nazca it was bloody hot !
Think I never felt so hot in my life.
So in the afternoon we just looked for the coolest (as in not hot) place and drink lost of coca cola.
This coca cola thing is also funny; You find it anywhere in Peru and Bolivia.
I would say, even more than back home.
Think the yankees really try to conquer the southern part of their big American island.
That night we went to a lecture of the Austrian woman who took over the job of the German mathematician who made the Nazca lines her livework.
We went to this small shed towards on of the edges of Nazca, really a kind of a backalley.
It was quite sad to see that apart from us there was only another couple.
All the other tourists get lectures in their classy hotels from organisations who are only after money instead of well caring the lines.
Wankers ... It was an interseting and informational night.
Defenitely worth a visit !
Next morning we were finally off to see the Nazcalines in our little Chesna.
This was great !
It's quite a flexible plane and right after the start I thought we were gonna get blown away by the wind and by the state of our pilote.
Man, he looked like having a big hangover.
When he talked he closed his eyes as well.
Not a big problem by itself, but if this guy talks for like half a minute at one go ... and you don't understand what he says either !...
Well, the view was great and we had a clear view.
Not surprisingly as this might be on with the dryest places on earth.
That's why the lines are so well preserved.
I wonder who created these lines and for what reason ...
Now something what we did not do and see; the graves.
Appearantly you can visit mummyfied graves.
Mummyfied, because the air is so dry so everything is amazingly well preserved.
If you want to see this, make sure you do it soon, cause the graves are being robbed ...
